Teaching

The Institute of Applied Thermal and Fluid Dynamics offers a wide range of courses in mechanical engineering and mechatronics. The results of current research and development activities are directly incorporated into the teaching activities.

In addition to teaching theoretical principles and methodological work, great importance is placed on application-oriented knowledge and the acquisition of methodological skills. Our strength lies in practical and research-oriented education and enables our students to work on complex questions independently and to develop solutions using scientific methods. The competences are imparted in the lectures and deepened through practice-oriented laboratory courses.

In order to ensure a high practical relevance in the execution of student research projects, bachelor's and master's theses, these are often offered within the framework of research and industrial projects. Through the direct involvement of our students in ongoing research activities, contacts to industry are already established during their studies and thus a good preparation for their later professional activity is achieved.
