Research

Research at the Institute of Applied Thermo- and Fluiddynamics combines theoretical, numerical and experimental methods. It has an interdisciplinary character and consists of components of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrochemistry as well as heat and mass transfer. Our research work focuses on the efficient and sustainable use of energy. It comprises application-oriented basic research, which is directly funded by industry as well as by public funding from the BMBF, BMWi and DFG.
